In December 2004, Ghaadé launched EL-VIS, the ingenious bar stool dreamt up by designers Cécile Troïtsky and Achille Habay.
The bar stool with a twist, it rises up (or down) to suit any occasion or stature. It made a grand entry amid much furore and won over a vast following. Then, hardly a year since its grand entry on the scene...the curtain fell. It seemed that EL-VIS had left the building.
In fact, Ghaadé had encountered management and manufacturing problems which forced the company to halt its activity. EL-VIS had been politely ushered into the wings.
However, with a name like EL-VIS, nothing was going to stand in its way. Like its namesake, EL-VIS seemed destined to make a grand comeback, and so it was when Branex Design re-released it.
Staying close to its roots and with a touch more maturity, EL-VIS is ready to win back its public. Top billing now goes to its one-piece profile and trimmed-down price.
